Composites in Digital Imaging

This week, we started learning how to do Composites in Photoshop. We began by taking some photos of backgrounds of brick walls, hallways, ivy walls, and other things. Then we went into the studio and took three portrait photos of different classmates under different light sources. We then learned how to take just the outline of the person and layer into on top of the background to create one photo of the person and background. These were really fun to do and I’m sure with more practice I will get better at them. Although being in Photojournalism, we aren’t allowed to manipulate photos, this could be a very creative and fun thing to do in my spare time.
